All these scientificexpertsgaveininsighttotheircurrentwork, focusing on laser and its various applications. _Election of a new executive board Inearlyafternoonofthefirstcongressday,mem- bers of the DGL assembled for the society’s general meeting. Prof. Dr Norbert Gutknecht, Dr Detlef Klotz, Dr Stefan Grümer, Dr Thorsten Kleinert, Prof. Dr Anton Sculean, Prof. Dr Siegfried Jänicke and Dr Gabriele Schindler-Hultzsch were elected as the new executive board of the DGL. Dr Jörg Meister, Bonn, Prof. Dr Gerd Volland, Sevilla (ES), Dr Steffen Stein, Marburg, und Priv.-Doz.
