ROOTS SUMMIT Premier global forum for endodontics 28 28 June –1 July 2018 Berlin, Germany The ROOTS SUMMIT is the premier global dis- cussion forum for the dental specialty of end- odontics. The meeting originally started as a mailing list of a large group of endodontic enthusiasts in the 1990s. Since the establish- ment of a dedicated Facebook group in 2013, the ROOTS SUMMIT has increased its mem- bership from just under 1,000 participants to its current level of more than 22,000, includ- ing many global endodontic opinion leaders. Well over 100 countries are currently repre- sented in the group. The mission of the ROOTS SUMMIT is to be an open and inclusive global learning forum accessible to anyone involved in the practice of endodontic therapy. Discussions regarding endodontic treatment, the various issues that affect the patient, prognosis, current literature, new equipment, as well as new procedures and protocols, among other top- ics, are moderated by an all-volunteer group of endodontists to ensure a professional and respectful manner is maintained. Although the meetings focus exclusively on the latest techniques and technologies in endodontics, the organizers strongly encour- age not only dentists specializing in the ield to attend but all who have an interest in endodontics, including general dentists and manufacturers and suppliers of endodontic products. Previous ROOTS SUMMITs have been held in Canada, the U.S., Mexico (in conjunction with the Asociación Mexicana de Endodoncia), Spain, the Netherlands, Brazil, India and the United Arab Emirates. These meetings have been known for the strength of their scientiic programs and their relevancy to clinical prac- tice. For the 2016 edition, the organizers part- nered with DTI for the irst time and will con- tinue to do so in 2018 when ROOTS SUMMIT is scheduled to take place in Berlin, Germany, from June 28–July 1.
