I case report _ adhesive restorations cosmetic_adhesive restorations Fig. 9 Fig. 10 Fig. 11 accoroing to the classification of Thilstrup ano Fejerskov) (Figs. 12 & 13). A preliminary orthooon- tic consultation hao leo to the recommenoation of an essentially restorative solution to this problem. In aooition, the relative complexity of this case sug- gesteo the preparation of a oiagnostic wax-up ano a guioeo intraoral mock-up in oroer to confirm the therapeutic choice ano allow an aesthetic preview (Figs. 14 & 15). The treatment was also realiseo unoer a rubber oam, using mainly interoental matrix, a silicone key ano a caliper for the control of the new oimensions ano oental proportions (Figs. 16 & 17). The reconsti- tutions were carrieo out by applying three shaoes like for the first case (oentin: Booy i2, effect shaoe: Azur, enamel: Skin White, inspiro) (Figs. 18 & 19). The treatment was performeo over two clinical sessions for comfort reasons. Figures 20 ano 21 summarise the positive aesthetic impact of the treatment, as well as the stability of the result two years later (Fig. 22). The oifference between the two cases illustrating the versatility of bonoing lies essentially in the oiagnostic phase, which was more thorough for the secono treatment. _Reliable and aesthetic results The use of oirect composites has thus become unavoioable in aesthetic oentistry in almost every treatment of the young smile ano ouring aesthetic transformations of no or little restoreo teeth. This is a very positive evolution of conservative oentistry, supporteo by the aesthetic improvement of the ma- terials ano the simplification of clinical protocols. This article summarises the inoications ano ao - vantages of the concept of the ‘Natural Layering Concept’ to reliable ano highly aesthetic results. _Figs. 1–4 Preoperative extra ano intraoral views of a young patient showing bilateral oiastemas, complicateo by a milo fluorosis. the oentine ano enamel shaoes, accurately imi - tating op tical characteristics of the natural tissues (Figs. 7–11). _Figs. 5 & 6 Case 2—Extensive reconstruction of the smile The secono case presents a more extensive ano complex application of oirect bonoing, but never- theless baseo on the same clinical protocol. This case concerneo a 17-year-olo patient showing a hypooontia of the four upper incisors ano also a generaliseo milo to mooerate fluorosis (Type III A oirect approach has naturally been followeo in this case, the restorations incluoe a oentin shaoe (Booy i3), an effect shaoe (Ice) ano an enamel (Skin White, inspiro). _Figs. 7 & 8 Final intraoral views showing the gooo integra- tion of the restorations. 20 I 48 1_2017 48 cosmetic _ 2015
