In addition, the iTero TimeLapse tool—to be launched at the 2017 International Dental Show (IDS) in Cologne in Germany— allows for dentists to compare past and present scans for each patient to check for signs of tooth wear and movement and gingival recession. ITero uses an open-architecture sys- tem, suitable for obtaining models for milling restorative units such as crowns, bridges and veneers, and of- fers customisable implant workflows for Straumann, ATLANTIS (Dentsply Sirona), NobelProcera (Nobel Bio- care) and Elos Medtech. Another feature that will debut at IDS 2017 is the Invisalign Outcome Simulator, which combines the power of iTero and Invisalign Go to allow practitioners to show patients their in- tended treatment outcomes in a mat- ter of seconds. By driving the evolution in digital dentistry, Align aims to modernise today’s practices through eliminating physical impressions, taking treat- ment planning online, and creating the potential to enable and improve al- most every type of dental treatment of- fered. How to become certified for To become an Invisalign Go pro- vider and treat more patients, dental professionals can enrol the Invisalign Go Training Programme. The course consists of an online train- ing session supplemented by an in- person, hands-on training day. This certification day includes live demon- strations, tips and techniques for Invisalign Go digital photography, im- pressions, interproximal reduction and attachments. Once certified, den- tists are given access to the online Aligner Consulting mentoring service. Additionally, a dedicated sales repre- sentative provides further support prior to and after training to ensure that the dentist is completely prepared for all of the stages of Invisalign Go treatment. The dentist’s satisfaction is a priority at Align. There will be an unique opportu- nity to gain certification on-site at IDS within only 2 hours, 4 times a day. The course will be held in German and in English, led by one of Align’s distin- guished presenters and a clinical advi- sor. This will allow attendees to start with Invisalign Go right away on the Monday after IDS to help their prac- tices grow. Invisalign at IDS Align Technology will be exhibit- ing at the 2017 IDS, to be held from 21 to 25 March. There, dentists will be able to experience the journey offered through Invisalign Go, from the first point of contact with patients to the end of a successful treatment. Addi- tionally, they will be able to attend the wide range of lectures by international opinion leaders, as well as engage with the iTero scanner first-hand. The innovation behind four million Invisalign smiles will be on full dis- play at IDS at Booth E010–F029 in Hall 2.2. (cid:26) Throughout 2016, further launches took place in Italy, France and the UK to demonstrate that Invisalign Go is a treatment option uniquely designed to benefit dentists and patients alike. Invisalign Go guides the dentist through identifying, planning and treating aesthetic cases such as mild crowding, spacing and orthodontic re- lapse. Suitable for smile corrections and improvements between the first premolars, it is equally implementable as a stand-alone treatment or in csom- bination with another pre-restorative approach. It is available for single- or dual-arch treatments and can provide patients with Invisalign smiles in as little as seven months. An emphasis on improvement Since the launch of Invisalign Go, Align has continued to release prod- uct improvements to make the treat- ment process more efficient than ever. The intra- and extra-oral photographs that precede Invisalign Go treatment have been made much easier with the Invisalign Photo Uploader App for iPhone and iPad.. After a quick intro- duction, photographs can be uploaded directly to the Invisalign Doctor Site to begin the case assessment promptly. The improved Case Assessment Tool helps determine whether the case can be treated with Invisalign Go. Complicated cases are referred to or- thodontists. Combined with the exper- tise of the dentist’s clinical judgement, the final decision is rendered easier and more satisfying for both dentist and patient. Adding to the ease of treatment is the redesigned and improved ClinCheck Pro 5.1, Align’s proprietary treatment planning software. With en- hanced visualisation, a customisable toolbar and a ClinCheck wizard for guidance through the treatment plan, using Invisalign Go has never been so intuitive. Consider this along with the improved Progress Assessment Tool and it becomes clear that efficiency is at the heart of the company’s ap- proach to innovation. The iTero Element intra-oral scanner This 3-D scanner is exclusively integrated with Invisalign Go and enables a complete workflow, from pre-restorative and restorative work to aesthetic refinement.
