She is founder and past director of the Postdoc- toral Program in Endodontics at the Har- vard School of Dental Medicine, and she maintains a faculty position at the Uni- versity of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine (endodontics) and is a senior fellow with Penn Medicine. She serves as a member of the Board of Overseers for the University of Pennsylvania and is also the founder, co-developer and past president and CEO of Real World Endo. Throughout her career spanning more than 40 years, she treated more than 30,000 patients and delivered more than 1,000 lectures worldwide — all before undergoing gender confirmation sur- gery at the age of 63.
