Brown is now weeks away from obtain- ing her PhD in biomedical engineering, focusing on engineering articular carti- lage and osteochondral implants to treat cartilage injuries and prevent osteoar- thritis. There will also be a ta- ble for the New Orleans Musicians Clinic, which will be accepting donations. Get ‘To The Point’ Among the many educational highlights for Sonendo at AAE17 — there will be a number of presentations taking place at the booth — will be a session titled “Minimizing the Incidence of Endodon- tic Treatment Failure by Maximizing Ca- nal Debridement and Disinfection Using GentleWave Technology.” This lecture, part of AAE’s “To The Point” series, will be offered from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. Friday in the exhibit hall. The GentleWave Procedure provides an innovative alternative to existing stan- dard root canal treatment techniques by predictably debriding and disinfecting while conserving more root structure, according to Sonendo. The presentation will highlight the main causes of stan- dard root canal treatment failure and how the GentleWave Procedure may be beneficial in eliminating these failures. A review of clinical cases will be used to emphasize minimal canal preparation shapes and exceptional healing. Sonendo will be in booth No. 649, and the company invites meeting attendees to stop by to learn from in-booth speak- ers and to experience hands-on demon- strations.
