06 I I clinical_ single-visit solution _Introduction The influence of digital dentistry reaches beyond clinicaltreatmenttothepatientasaconsumerofour service. The “Age of the Internet” has brought an in- creaseddemandforinstantresultsandanevolvedel- ement of impatience for the practitioner to manage. Any patient’s targeted online search will inform him or her that CAD/CAM dentistry may provide a single-visit solution to the traditional multiple visit process,1 whichismanytimescoupledwithseductive digital proposals. The multiple visit norm with provisional restora- tions may induce limitations of function, comfort and perhaps a less than optimal appearance for weeks. The single-visit solution can eliminate many of the steps that dissuade the patient from commit- ting to treatment. Furthermore, when elective treatment is sought primarily to make an appearance related change in theestheticzone,traditionallythelaboratorytechni- cian has no in-person contact with the patient. The followingpatienttreatmentexampleoffersaration- ale and method to provide anterior milled ceramic restorations in a single visit.
