A limited number of selected items will be available for extended bidding at the President’s Celebration to Honor Fel- lowsandMasters,whichbeginstoday at 7 p.m. Thanks to the support of the AGD Foundation’s generous donors, the silent auction fundraiser offers some- thingforeveryone,includingstate-of- the-art dental equipment and dental instruments, C.E. courses, jewelry and more. Proceeds will support oral cancer awareness, education and research. Oral cancer screenings continue AGD Foundation Oral Cancer Screen- ings continue today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Moscone West, First Floor Lobby. The dental community is the first line of defense against oral can- cer. To bring attention to this deadly diseaseandpromoteactivescreening of dental patients, the AGD Founda- tion hopes to screen an estimated 300 people as part of its two-day oral cancer screenings. Convocation Ceremony celebrates accomplishments The AGD Convocation Ceremony is planned for today from 3 to 6 p.m. at Moscone West, Third Floor. Everyone is invited to share in the camaraderie as the AGD honors the accomplish- ments of its 2015 fellows, masters and lifelong learning and service recog- nition (LLSR) recipients. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open for guest seating at 2:45 p.m. It is recommended that guests not arrive before 2:35 p.m., as they will not be able to access the room during rehearsal. Many attendees will begin today with a run or walk along the bay, seeing the sites of beautiful San Francisco while supporting oral cancer aware- ness, education and research. The AGD Foundation Fun Run/Walk 5K Fundraiser was set for 6 a.m. today at AT&T Park. The race route took participants along the Embarcadero and around AT&T Park, home of the 2014 World Series Champions, the San Francisco Giants. Awards were given for top 5K qualifiers.
