Here are three of the key offerings, including the silent auction fund- raiser, which began Wednesday. •TheAGDFoundationSilentAuction Fundraiser is being held at Moscone West, First Floor Lobby, today until 6 p.m. and Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thanks to the support of donors, the silent auction offers state- of-the-art dental equipment and den- tal instruments, C.E. courses, jewelry and more. • AGD Foundation Oral Can- cer Screenings will be held today from 2 to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10a.m.to2p.m.atMosconeWest,First Floor Lobby. Volunteer dentists will provide their services for the event, screening an expected 300 people for oral cancer. • The AGD Foundation Fun Run/ Walk 5K Fundraiser will begin at 6 a.m. Saturday at AT&T Park in San Francisco. Buses will be located out- side Moscone West, midway between Minna and Howard streets, between 5 and 5:30 a.m., to transport partici- pants. This is a ticketed event. Regis- tration — $45 for AGD members and $50 for nonmembers — is available in theAGDRegistrationAreaatMoscone West, First Floor Lobby. Oral cancer event expected to screen 300 for disease Foundation’s AGD 2015 events support awareness and research By Sierra Rendon, today Staff n It’s finally here … AGD 2015 has offi- cially kicked off, with an exciting day of advanced learning, hands-on expe- riencinganddentalproductshopping! Thursday’s sessions began with Terry Jones of Travelocity.com, Kayak. com and WayBlazer. In his address (sponsored by Colgate), Jones spoke about survival of the fittest. To para- phrase, Jones said that surviving, whether it’s in nature or the market- place, isn’t about being the strongest or the smartest. It’s about adapting to change. Other sessions Thursday included “Wow!
