By Glidewell Laboratories Staff n OnJune12,theAmericanAcademy of Implant Dentistry awarded Dr. Jack Hahn for a lifetime of outstand- ing achievement. Hahn, pioneering implantologist who has placed and restored more than 45,000 implants over his 45-year career, accepted the award at the AAID’s summer meet- ing, coinciding with the launch of the new Hahn™ Tapered Implant System. Hahn is perhaps best known for his development of the Nobel- Replace® dental implant, which went on to became one of the most widely used systems in the industry. More recently, Hahn partnered with fellow industry pioneer Jim Glidewell on a new venture that might help reduce the cost of implant treatment so more patients can afford care. “I’ve placed more than 5,000 NobelReplace implants since devel- oping the system nearly 20 years ago and have noticed areas for improve- ment,” Hahn said. “The Hahn Tapered Implant System has made these inno- vations a reality for the benefit of doctors and patients. Working with Glidewell Laboratories has allowed me to develop a cost-effective implant that improves the quality of treat- ment.” Designed to engage a maximum amount of bone and achieve a high degree of primary stability in an extensive range of clinical situations, the Hahn Tapered Implant System, according to the company, has been engineered to help clinicians mitigate patienttrauma,reducechairtime,pro- mote long-term integration and facili- tateimmediateprovisionalizationand other prosthetic considerations. NobelReplace is a registered trademark of Nobel Biocare group. scrapbook4 AGD 2015 — Friday, June 19, 2015 Dr. Jack Hahn receives lifetime achievement award Scenes from Thursday Here at the AGD For more information on the Hahn Tapered Implant, call (800) 839-9755, visit www.hahnimplant.com or stop by the Glidewell booth, No. 215. 5 AGD Annual Meetings Council Chair Joseph Picone cuts the ribbon to officially open the exhibit hall on Thursday. 5 Jenna Crellin of Designs for Vision helps an attendee try out new scopes at booth No. 508. 5 Attendees line up Thursday morning to register for AGD 2015. 5 Lenny Barnette speaks with an attendee Thursday about new Crest Pro-Health [HD] two-step toothpaste and gel system.
