today Hinman Dental Meeting Atlanta March 26

By Paradise Dental Institute Staff n Paradise Dental Institute sets sail this July with the launch of a live surgery implant training program and working conference, Summers in Paradise, at the Atlantis Resort and Casino in Nassau, Bahamas, from July 30 to Aug. 1. The working conference will explore the theme “Navigating the Past, Sailing to the Future” as well as the exciting but challenging world of implant dentistry. The institute will feature its faculty members as speak- ers, or captains, and guest speakers on topics ranging from the introduc- tory to full-mouth reconstruction sur- gery and prosthetics. Our captains will navigate tradi- tional sound surgical practices of the past and sail to guided treatment planning and surgery, which are both the present and future of dentistry. The working conference will allow dentists to diagnose, treatment plan, performsurgery,handlepost-surgery management and complications and deliver a final prosthesis all in one morning. The interactive morning sessions will provide dentists who are new to and also experienced in implant dentistry a deeper under- standing of when, why and how. The following is the preliminary ports of call: •July30:“IntroductiontoImplants and Soft-tissue Grafting” by Dr. Rick Ferguson and Dr. Avi Schetritt • July 31: “Predictable Impression Taking and Temporization” by Dr. Stace Lind • July 31, 7 to 9 p.m.: Official All- White Launch Party • Aug. 1: “Guided and Non-Guided Full-Mouth Reconstruction” by Drs. Michael Pikos and Micheal Tischler The conference features morning lectures from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day, with breaks in between. Lunch and exhibit-only hours are from 1 to 3 p.m., with a live calypso band, lunch featuring local and American cuisine and a happy hour with the exhibitors. After 3 p.m., guests can continue with happy hour or explore Atlantis. Fridaynightistheofficiallaunchwith a beach party and entertainment. Dentists are encouraged to bring their families as Atlantis has some- thing for everyone, and the group rate is available for three days before and aftertheconferencefor$226pernight, including spouses and children. The institute and the summer con- ference are the brainchild of founder and CEO dental technician Indira Darling and co-founder and clinical directorDr.DerwinMunroe.Thepair, who are both Bahamian-born and American-trained, will combine their love of dentistry and their beautiful country to launch a comprehensive implant-training program with the philosophy, “No man is an island.” The institute will provide dentists and all team members with the surgi- cal, theoretical, clinical and business skills necessary to build a successful implant practice. To this end, the faculty is composed of oral surgeons, ABOI board-certified implant general dentists, hygienists, lab technicians, surgical assistants and office manag- ers.
