VOCO RETRACTION PASTE—A MUST-HAVE FOR EVERY PRACTICE The basis for a perfect impression is an exposed and dry sulcus. VOCO Retraction Paste, which is applied directly from the cap into the sulcus, provides just that by effectively opening the sulcus temporarily and isolating it from moisture. This prod- uct is also the ideal complement to the V-Posil precision impression ma- terial. VOCO Retraction Paste offers the prerequisites for successful clas- sic or digital precision impressions as well as for cavity preparation for Class II or V restorations, and it can also be used for either permanent or temporary cementing of restora- tions. The retraction paste impresses users not just with its results but also with its handling. For example, the shade contrasts well against the gingiva, facilitating working in areas diffi cult to see in particular. Owing to the very slender and slightly fl exible cannula, the material can be easily dosed and applied, and the paste is easy to press out. In addition, it scores points with its excellent fl ow viscosity, coupled with uniform stability, and this ena- bles the opening of the sulcus. During application, the alumin- ium chloride paste, which has an astringent effect, temporar- ily fi lls the sulcus and stops any bleeding, while eliminating moisture. Numerous benefi ts for patients VOCO Retraction Paste only requires a short exposure time. It has a neutral taste and can be easily and fully rinsed off. The paste can be used as an al- ternative to, or in combination with, a retraction thread. It can be used either in the classic way or digitally with an intra-oral scanner. Soft- tissue management is often the key to success for Class II and V fi llings as well as for permanent or temporary VOCO. The SingleDose Cap is compatible with commercially available composite dispens- ers, such as the VOCO Caps Dispenser, and is suffi cient for up to three sulci. The main advantage of SingleDose is that each patient receives his or her very own product—an easy way to avoid the risk of cross-contamination as well as other potential types of contamination. cementation of restorations, especially when using the adhesive technique with products which are not very moisture- tolerant. Hygienic single dose VOCO Retraction Paste can be applied directly into the sulcus easily and hygienically from the Single- Dose Cap, developed in-house by VOCO—“the Dentalists” Founded in 1981, VOCO is a family-run dental company located in Cuxhaven in Germany and is one of the leading manufacturers in the industry, both nationally and inter- nationally. The company’s product portfolio comprises more than 100 preparations focused on pre- ventive, restorative, prosthetic and digital dentistry. All products are manufactured at its headquarters industry and are therefore entirely German- made. The company employs 440 peo- ple in its departments of research, production and administration in Germany. Another 400 employees are responsible for sales worldwide and take care of dentists and depots on site. VOCO produces dental products of the highest material quality and user friendliness to meet the high demands of the market. Thanks to innovative solutions, the company often takes on pioneering roles and establishes new standards in the dental industry. In addition, VOCO consistently advances digital dentistry and combines complex technologies with the best user comfort. VOCO, Germany www.voco.dental Booth 8A06 XP-ENDO RISE SEQUENCE: ONE BRANDED GLIDE PATH FILE, ONE SHAPING FILE, ONE STRAIGHTFORWARD PROCEDURE FKG introduces XP-endo Rise—the innovative solution that is shaping XP-endo’s evolution. Also new is a glide path fi le 015/.04—XP-endo Rise Glider, based on the RACE EVO design— and an XP-endo Rise Shaper. XP-endo Rise Shaper has a rede- signed tip that delivers a proven in- crease in predictability and control. Similarly to the current XP-endo Shaper, the instrument adapts to the canal’s natural anatomy, facilitates debris removal, increases overall dis- infection of the canal, shortens treat- ment time and offers superior resistance to cyclic fatigue and superior fl exibility compared with other rotary fi les. To simplify and facilitate treat- ments, FKG introduces a new XP-endo Rise Sequence, combining XP-endo Rise Glider and XP-endo Rise Shaper in the same blister pack. This se- quence of two fi les for glide path and shaping ensures predictability, a minimum 030/.04 preparation in 8/+3 strokes and a straightforward procedure. In primary treatment, it allows multiple use in up to eight standard root canals. For retreatment, FKG introduces a new sequence XP-endo Rise Retreat- ment, combining D-Race DR1, XP-endo Rise Shaper and Finisher R. This se- quence simplifi es retreatment, opti- mises removal of root fi lling material and reduces procedure time. Finisher and Finisher R: New names, same safe, effi cient cleaning FKG renames its solutions for 3D cleaning of the root canals. XP-endo Finisher is now called Finisher, and XP-endo Finisher R has been renamed as Finisher R. The two instruments are compatible with all shaping solutions, FKG or non-FKG. No change has been made to the fi les themselves. Finisher and Finisher R are me- chanical instruments for enhanced the cleaning and disinfection of canals. These instruments provide excellent resistance to cyclic fatigue. They leave walls cleaner than other available systems. Added to the treatment procedure, Finisher offers up to 98% bacterial reduction in the main canal space. In retreatment, Finisher R is up to two times more effective than passive ultrasonic irrigation in reducing remaining root fi lling materials. Over time, millions of smiles have been created in partnership with dental professionals worldwide. Throughout the years, Neodent con- tinues to celebrate the choice of creat- ing new smiles every day, changing the lives of patients in more than 80 countries where the brand is present. The Neodent Acqua surface is an improvement of the successful NeoPoros surface. Based on the abra- sive sandblasting concept followed by acid etching, the NeoPoros surface promotes, by using controlled grain oxides, cavities on the implant surface that are then uniformed using the acid etching technique. Through a highly technological chemical process, the NeoPoros surface becomes hydro- philic—the Neodent Acqua surface. Neodent Acqua implants feature this hydrophilic surface, which is the evolution of the highly successful sandblasted, large grit, acid- etched type of implant surface designed for high treatment predictability. It was developed to achieve successful out- comes even in challenging situations, such as where there is soft bone or for immediate protocols.1–4 The hydrophilic surface presents a smaller contact angle when in contact with hydrophilic liquids. This provides greater accessibility of organic fl uids to the Acqua implant surface.2 References: 1 Novellino MM, Sesma N, Zanardi PR, Laganá DC.
