Doundoulakis, DMD, gen- eral chairman of the GNYDM, in a welcome message published in the meeting’s program guide. Some of the educational highlights for today include the following: • “Restorative and Pulp Therapy Techniques for Children: A Hands- On Workshop,” presented by Arnold Weiss, DDS, MScD, will cover practi- cal, easily implemented restorative procedures for children. This practi- cal program, taking place from 9 a.m. to noon, focuses on predictable and profitable restorative procedures. Additionally, behavior guidance will be discussed to help improve the care of your pediatric patients. This half- day workshop is part of the Pediatric Program. • Marvin A. Fier, DDS, is present- ing “Predictable, Profitable Restora- tive and Aesthetic Procedures,” from 2 to 5 p.m. Fier will explain how newer materials and techniques can help you achieve less stress, happier patients and higher profits. A discus- sion of the new universal shade com- posites will be included. Total etch, selective etch and self-etch will be covered. This half-day seminar is also part of the Pediatric Program. • Also today, “Botox and Facial Fillers for the Dental Practitioner: A Clinical Workshop and Demonstra- tion” will be offered by Zev Schulhof, DMD, MD, from 9 a.m. to noon and 2 to 5 p.m. During this all-day seminar and workshop, there will be a brief discussion on the history, indications and types of facial fillers, as well as their combined use with Botulinum Toxin in the treatment of the aging face. “Live” demonstrations follow in the afternoon, and mannequins will be available for participants to prac- tice the hands-on portion of the program.
