The completely free of charge event will take place online due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. On 5 November, an online meeting on modern dental technologies will be held. The international leaders on the CAD/CAM market will pre- sent the latest innovations. Over 7 hours, the speakers will share details of their daily work cases and tip and tricks. In one of the sessions Kang Chien- ming will share his skills that will help technicians make nicer mono- lithic zirconia restorations. In his lecture titled “How to control the surface treatment of multi-layer zirconia to make aesthetic restora- tions,” he will talk about zirconia and will answer questions such as: How to control the zirconia material prop- erty? What information do we need to know about ceramic paste stain before using it? Jürgen Seger, CDT from Switzerland, KOL of Ivoclar Vivadent will speak about pressed glass-ceramic restora- tions. Thanks to the extensive expe- rience available today with pressed ceramics, he will discuss in detail important selection criteria that will help technicians choose the right material translucency and the right type of restoration related to the clinical situation. Wolfgang Krispler from Austria, who is Ivoclar Vivadent’s Manager Global Education Technician is specializ- ing in fi xed prosthetics and in his 45-minute lecture e will put special attention to the fabrication of multi- zirconia restorations. He will explain how important it is to select the cor- rect materials and processing tech- nique in order to achieving excellent results. Dr Martin Lebeda from the Czech Republic supported by Dentsply Sirona, will talk about emphasizing communication between the den- tist and the lab technician as well as rehabilitation of complex cases, re- storing vertical dimension or eroded dentition. Using intraoral scanners and equipment to scan, outsource or produce locally, digitally designed restorations are done predictably and effi ciently. Dental technicians will have the chance to learn how to utilize the maximum of the digital impressions and CAD/CAM equip- ment to create restorations like prepped or non-prep veneers or sim- plifying complex implant surgery and interdisciplinary cases using chairside or lab equipment. Yet, another speaker who will pre- sent on the 5th November will be Dr Kelvin Tantono from Indonesia. During his presentation he will ad- dress, how and what can be done to make monolithic restorations stand out in the crowd. He will also address the questions of how can dental pro- fessionals attract more potential cli- ents with digital restorations that are unique to each patient and what are the simple steps that can be taken to optimise the benefi ts of the digital dental labs while preserving the high aesthetic quality of our monolithic restorations. Jürgen Seger Since 2009 he is the Head of Department Global Education Technical at Ivoclar Vivadent Liechtenstein and is actively in- volved in research and product develop- ment pertaining to new dental materials and technologies. Since 1996, he belongs to the visiting fac- ulty of leading teaching academies world- wide and author and co-author of articles on aesthetic dentistry with all-ceramics. Dr Martin Lebeda Dr Martin Lebeda from Czech Republic graduated in dentistry and specialises in prosthodontics with a focus on implantol- ogy, aesthetic and digital dentistry using CAD/CAM. He holds a dental technician – prosthodontics diploma and experience of over 20 years actively crafting smiles with a twist to create things more precise- ly and predictably using digital methods and equipment. Kang Chienming Kang is Executive Director & Academic Commissioner of Taiwan Association of Dental Technology, Executive Director of Chinese Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (CAED) and Executive Director of Taipei city Dental Technicians Association. He is a keynote opinion leader of GC ini- tial ceramic system. He is also a certifi ed technician for The Academy of Clinical Dentistry. Wolfgang Krispler As an all-around technician, he has con- tinuously intensifi ed his knowledge of dental technology in various master laboratories. In 2020, Wolfgang Krispler joined Ivoclar Vivadent in the position of Manager Global Education Technical at the ICDE in Schaan, Liechtenstein. He is primarily specialized in fi xed prosthetics. Dr Kelvin Tantono A passionate dental ceramist, Dr Kelvin Tantono has trained on various aspects of dental technology from leading experts - the art of ceramics from Master Mitsu- taka Fukushima, morphology & occlu- sion from Szabi Hant & Stefano Cossar, Smile design & ceramics with Dr Marcelo Calamita and his technician, Edson Da Silva. He also completed the international program at the Osaka School of Dental Ceramics Training School in September 2018.
