Una lunga funzione delle protesi full-arch spes- so si associa a un’elevata prevalenza di complicanze protesiche. La coorte ivi investigata non ha riportato frattura alcuna, suggerendo che la struttura interna - metallica o in fibra di vetro -possa essere un fattore chiave, soprattutto nel primo anno di carico. La tecnica FoB ben si inserisce tra i protocolli principe per la riabilitazione dell’arcata edentula in quanto si associa non solo a eccellenti risultati clinici a lungo termine ma anche a una riduzione dei costi biologici ed economici per il paziente. Infatti, traslan- do tutte - o quasi - le correzioni di asse al di fuori dell’osso, l’intervento si semplifica notevolmente, di- ventando mini-invasivo per il paziente e indulgente per l’operatore. _bibliografia 1.
