In sostanza, l’intero mondo dei materiali per implantologia può svincolarsi, grazie alle modifiche biomo- lecolari, dalle attuali strutture superficiali le- gate al materiale da impianto, spesso neces- sariamente scelto in base a considerazioni di resistenza meccanica e generalmente privo di attività biologica. Come l’introduzione delle su- perfici microrugose ha aperto nuovi protocolli e offerto nuove possibilità di pianificazione al clinico, è verosimile che le superfici biomoleco- lari, che sono già presente e saranno una pro- babile porzione importante di futuro, possano suggerire ulteriori sviluppi nelle modalità chi- rurgiche e nelle indicazioni di intervento. _bibliografia 1.
