NOVEMBER2017 Florence 2018 Art, history and culture; food, fun and fashion. IADS and Dental-Art welcome you to Florence, Italy. Home of the European Renaissance and of Dante’s Divine Comedy, Florence is one of the most iconic places to visit in whole Italy. This city, in fact, has been one of the milestones of all human culture, from Roman times until today just so many notorious men have stepped on these streets: from Julius Caesar to Leonardo da Vinci, from Sandro Botticelli to Galileo Galilei, and now thanks to Dental-Art, three IADS students from all over the world will have the opportunity to be in this amazing place. The winners of this scholarship will take part to the first international endodontic course held by Dental- Art in October 2018 which will be a three days full immersion course on modern endodontics principles such as minimal invasive intervention aimed at preserving the tooth integrity and its structure. These fundamentals are required in all the endodontic steps, starting from opening access cavity to the root canal obturation. The course is structured to give attendees the knowledge on how to establish an endodontic treatment plan and how to perform a modern procedure with the latest tools and technologies available today, there will be space for presentations of several clinical cases, literature reviews, clinical video demonstrations and as well there will be workshops on plastic simulators and extracted teeth where the participants will be able to perform and complete several endodontic procedures. During the 3 days the participants will work with operating microscope and will have the latest tools during the hands-on session available for use, as well as during lectures, a whole new 3D video system will be adopted for attendees to see live procedures in such an immersing experience. The course will be limited to 12 places, two IADS students will have the possibility to attend it at incredible price and one IADS student will be selected and will attend the course completely for free. To apply for this scholarship, you must be a IADS member in your last year of studies and follow the steps on the IADS website and on www.dental-art. education, the deadline for submission is set on mid- April.
