In this regard, the company has introduced the GC Ini- tial LiSi Press pressable ceramic system and the matching phosphate-bonded speed investment GC LiSi PressVest for pressable ceramics. Both are products of the Initial fam- ily, a range of advanced materials for the dental laboratory that have made the dental technician’s work easier for al- most 15 years. GC built on Initial’s suc- cess at the 2015 International Dental Show with GC Initial LiSi, a special ce- ramic veneering material for lithium disilicate frameworks. Continuing on from there, GC devel- oped GC Initial LiSi Press. This pressable lithium disilicate ceramic combines the advantages of modern ceramics with exceptional ease of handling. Achieved through its unique HDM (High Density Micronization) technology, uniformly dispersed lithium disilicate microcrys- tals fi ll the entire glass matrix. The material remains stable even af- ter several fi ring cycles and has a high fl exural strength of 500 MPa. The physi- cal properties of Initial LiSi Press make the restoration very resistant to abra- sion and gentle on antagonists. Further- more, its high colour stability and fl uo- rescence ensure the natural aesthetics of the pressable ceramic material. Quality is of impor- great tance in daily laboratory pro- cedures, as is quick and easy processing. To make this task even easier, GC is off ering LiSi PressVest, a car- bon-free phos- phate-bonded speed investment for pressable ceram- ics. With its high fl owability and ex- tended processing time, this invest- ment permits more processing fl exibil- ity before fi ring. It has been optimised for speed heating and is suitable for a variety of pressing techniques. TePe EasyPick’s ease of use makes it ideal for interdental cleaning during the day, she explained.
