Conclusion Within the limits of this study, the data reported suggest that argon plasma technology could be used to pretreat implant fixtures immediately before their surgical placement without in- creasingtheriskofmicrobiologicalcontamination. However, additional microbiological and preclini- calstudiesshouldbeperformedtotesttheclinical applicability of this procedure.
