PacEndo, the new endodontic division of Pac-Dent International, introduced a number of products, including Vital Ice. The product is described as environmen- tally safe, with no CFCs, and is non-toxic. According to the company, cold refriger- ant spray is a popular and effective tool for diagnosing pulp vitality, and this ex- tremely cold spray causes a rapid pulpal response in vital teeth. It is nonflam- mable and comes with a fresh mint scent and is easy to use, the company said. At Coltene Endo, attendees could learn about the new HyFlex EDM (electronic discharge machining) file system. Reps Brad Morrison and Frank Reid told Endo Tribune that the system was designed with two key objectives in mind: flexibil- ity and fracture resistance. Roydent Dental Products featured its wide array of products, including MAP (Micro Apical Placement) Systems. These kits are designed to provide an efficient method for placing root canal repair ma- terials by orthograde or retrograde obtu- ration. Essential Dental Systems (EDS) pre- sented Irritrol, a single-step endodontic irrigation solution formulated for use as a final rinse after sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl). Irritrol contains chlorhexadine (CHX) and EDTA to disinfect the root ca- nal and remove the smear layer. Accord- ing to EDS, it has a proven disinfection rate of 99.99 percent. Vista Dental Products offered SmearOFF™ — designed to replace two commonly used solutions: EDTA and CHX. According to Vista, SmearOFF not only effectively removes the smear layer, but also kills bacteria in one easy step. At Henry Schein/EndoVision, attend- ees could learn about how Simplifeye can enhance a dental office’s communi- cation. Dental Cadre offered the Terauchi file retrieval system. HuberMED had a number of innova- tive products, including a BonePen Kit and an Implant Removal Kit. Available from Komet USA was the Komet Endo Rescue Kit, for safe and effective removal of instrument frag- ments. According to the company, the F360 file features a “Double-S” crosscut design, for increased flexibility and cut- ting efficiency. Also on the exhibit hall floor, “To the Point” corporate lectures were offered on a wide variety of topics.
