Two more days, but many more chances By Sierra Rendon, Ortho Tribune Staff I nnovation seems to be top of mind here at the American Association of Orthodontists 115th Annual Session in San Francisco this week. Orthodontists who look to the future and aim to stay informed on the latest and greatest innovations in the industry are sure to feel right at home as they pe- ruse the exhibit hall of the AAO 2015 or learn about something new during a lec- ture or presentation. Many companies are launching new products and technology right here at the Moscone Center. Here is a quick look at some of the new innovations and education you’ll want to seek out in the exhibit hall: • 3M focuses on esthetics: With a variety of new products, 3M Unitek is confident that its new products will allow ortho- dontists to be more productive and effi- cient than ever. One particularly innova- tive new product you will find at the 3M booth, No. 1129, is the APC Flash-Free Ad- hesive Coated Appliance System. Senior Global Brand Manager Barbie Filmalter said this eliminates the flash removal step from bonding, which saves time for the doctor, staff and patients. It pro- tects enamel under the adhesive during treatment, and it also makes debonding easier. In addition, while you’re at the booth, ask a representative to show you 3M’s New and improved Attendees check out hundreds of exhibitors and products at the American Association of Orthodontists 115th Annual Session at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
