today IDS 2015 Cologne, 11 March

business 45IDS 2015 – 11. SDR from DENTSPLY has been used for 30 millions of fillings and is,undisputedly, theworld’snumber one bulkfill material, according to the manufacturer. In the art of restorative dentistry it has made history within a few years. On the occasion oft he IDS the bulk- fill composite is now cele- brating its five- year anniversary. Primarily it was developed as a safe and easy-to-apply base, whereas today it convinces its users with a broad spectrum of indica- tions: for example as a liner (e.g. in case of undercuts), as a post en- dodontic coronal restoration mate- rial, for fissure sealing or for use in deciduous teeth without capping. In addition, the global success of SDR is based on the innovative bulk- fill technology. It has been the first flowable bulk-fill composite at all and may be placed in 4mm incre- ments providing for quickly placed and safe fillings. SDRistranslucentandself-level- ling allowing intimate adaptation to the prepared cavity walls—even in case of an adverse geometry or a high C-factor. Apart from its indi- cation as a base the low viscosity composite may also be used as a postendodonticcoronalrestoration. Its chemical compatibility with all kinds of methacrylate-based adhe- sives and composites enables the dentist to use his material of choice for the enamel cap. Another benefit of SDR relates to pediatric dentistry. In case of decid- uous teeth restorations no special enamel cap is required. So these kinds of treatment may be per- formed significantly faster allowing for a gentle children’s therapy. DENTSPLY DETREY, GERMANY www.dentsply.de/SDR Hall 11.2 Booth L019 FÜNF JAHRE SDR SDR CELEBRATES 5 YEAR-ANNIVERSARY AD CRANEX 3Dx is the newest member of the renowned CRANEX product family by SOREDEX. BylaunchingCRANEX 3Dx, SOREDEX is now able to present a complete offering for cranio-maxillofacial imaging. In line with its motto “Right tool for the job”, there is now smart solution for every clinical im- aging need and all price categories, the company said. CRANEX3Dxcom- bines excellent pano- ramic and cephalometric imaging with advanced cone beam CT imag- ing modality: three fields-of-view (5 x 5 cm, 6 x 8 cm and 8 x 8 cm) as standard selection and further two optional larger FOVs (8 x 15 cm and 13 x 15 cm) for diagnostic tasks in the entire maxillofacial region and ENT applications. The large selection of FOVs enhances flexibility, while PickPoint freely selectable FOV posi- tioning and EasyScout functionality for positioning accuracy make sure that the desired region of interest is really in the image. Therefore there is no need neither to select too large FOV size nor to retake the exposure. The image will be accu- rate and perfectly positioned at the first shot, minimising the dose of radiation. CRANEX 3Dx offers a selection of resolutions for each FOV includ- ing high, standard and SOREDEX MiniDose (MDS). In addition, it has a specific programme optimised for high accuracy needed in endodontic diagnostics. SOREDEX Minidose is ideal for radiation sensitive cases, such as the treatment of pediatric patients, implant planning and con- trol, as well as for follow-up imaging. Good image quality can be main- tained owing to SARA (SOREDEX Advance Reconstruction Algorithm). Remarkable is that Minidose effec- tive dose with 5 x 5 FOV accounts for only 1/5 of a panoramic image. SOREDEX also further optimises the patient dose with AES hybrid— combined Automatic Exposure Set- ting (AES) in panoramic, cephalo- metric and 3-D. This suggests ex- posure values based on patient size and is now available for 3-D imaging as well. CRANEX 3Dx is an agile in-office imaging solution whose perform- ance may be enhanced according to the evolving diagnostic needs. Both cephalometric modality and large FOVs may be upgraded after the initial purchase. Additionally, small footprint of CRANEX 3Dx makes it even usable in clinics with limited space. SOREDEX has been designing and manufacturing easy-to-use and innovative imaging solutions for dental and maxillofacial profes- sionals for nearly four decades. The SOREDEX portfolio is extensive and ranges from intraoral, panoramic and cephalometric applications to large field-of-view Cone Beam CT for demanding ENT and CMF diagnos- tics. Their products are renowned for their reliability, simplified work- flow and excellent image quality. SOREDEX, FINLAND www.soredex.com Hall 11.2 Booth N050 CRANEX 3DX
