Both or- ganisations have joined forces to promote awareness of the importance of oral health on a global scale via DTI’s numerous print and online publications. Every year, WOHD is celebrated on 20 March. In addition to pub- lic awareness campaigns and sponsored oral health-related events, FDI’s member national dental associations, schools, companies and other groups worldwide will be celebrating the day with individually organ- ised events to sensitise people everywhere in the world on oral health issues and the impor- tance of oral hygiene. As the official media partner of WOHD 2015, the publisher will provide comprehensive cover- age of events both locally and internationally to spread FDI’s message.Amongotheractivities, DTI will help promote WOHD 2015 through news articles, ban- ners and advertisements in its various international print pub- lications and on the DTI website, www.dental-tribune.com, in- cluding a topic page solely dedi- cated to WOHD 2015. It will also run a special social media cam- paign in collaboration with FDI. DTI has been working success- fully with FDI for more than a decade and has published and distributed Worldental Daily, the official newspaper of the FDI Annual World Dental Congress, since 2005. The new media agreement, therefore, further strengthens the long-term part- nership between FDI and DTI. In 2015, WOHD 2015 will be cel- ebrated under the theme “Smile for life”.
