CAD/CAM - international magazine of digital dentistry

_Dental technology company Planmeca and theUniversityofTurkuhavefoundedajointventure company, the Nordic Institute of Dental Education. The institute will offer high-quality continuing education courses to dental professionals. The objective is to export and share Nordic expertise in digital dentistry on the basis of the academic knowledge of the University of Turku and the technologies developed by Planmeca, as well as their global dental networks. ThecourseswillbeheldattheUniversityofTurku andatPlanmeca’sheadquartersinHelsinkifromau- tumn2014.Thecoursetopicscoverrapidlyevolving dentaltechnologiesandtheirapplicationinmodern dentistry, including 3-D imaging, prosthodontics, endodontics, biomaterials science, orthodontics and CAD/CAM technologies. The University of Turku awards ECTS credits (a standard for higher education in Europe) and coursecertificatestothestudents.Thejointventure company complements Planmeca’s broad range of training activities and collaboration with uni - versities around the world.
