A billion smiles welcome the world of dentistry FDI 2014 · New Delhi · India Greater Noida (UP) Annual World Dental Congress 11-14 September 2014 www.fdi2014.org.in www.fdiworldental.org Deadline for early bird registration 31 May 2014 AD Launched at the recent CIOSP dentalshowinSãoPauloinBrazil, the Clàriant bleaching line from Angelus is intended to simplify bleaching through an anatomical syringe design. The system, which also includes gingival bar- riers, plates for trays and a desen- sitising gel, is available for use both at home and in the dental of- fice. Available in concentrations of 10%, 16% and 22%, the home for- mula comes with a tray that offers high adaptation through flexible plates. The professional version contains 35% hydrogen peroxide and provides immediate results in a single application, the Brazilian company said. As part of the treat- ment, Angelus recommends using Clàriant Dam, a gingival barrier that can be polymerised, and the desensitising gel Clàriant D-Sense to treat dental sensitivity caused by external stimuli. Clàriant will be avail- able in Europe soon, ac- cording to the company. Additional products in the range are anticipated later this year. Despite tooth- whitening products, An- gelus manufactures and distrib- utesanumberofmaterials,instru- ments and other equipment for use in endodontics, dental labora- tories and paediatric dentistry to over 80 countries. ANGELUS, BRAZIL www.angelus.ind.br GUNZ DENTAL Booth 155 156 NEW BLEACHING LINE LAUNCHED BY ANGELUS Planmeca has introduced a new imaging mode that was de- veloped especially for use in en- dodontics and in cases dealing with small anatomical details, such as imaging of the ear. The new mode, which produces ex- tremely high-resolution images with a very small voxel size of only 75 μm, is available for all Planmeca ProMax 3D imaging units. According to Planmeca, the new mode provides clinicians withperfectvisualisationofeven the smallest anatomical details. Owing to new intelligent noise and artefact removal algorithms, noise-free and crystal-clear im- agescanbeproduced, theFinnish dental equipment manufacturer said. With Planmeca ARA, for ex- ample, artefacts resulting from metal restorations and root fill- ings in the patient’s mouth that cause shadows and streaks in CBCT images can be removed ef- fectively. In addition, the new Planmeca AINO Adaptive Image Noise Optimiser is intended to re- ducenoiseinCBCTimagesresult- ing from a particularly low radia- tiondoseorsmallvoxelsizewith- out losing valuable details. The company said that the filter par- ticularly improves image quality in the endodontic mode, where noise is inherent due to the ex- tremely small voxel size. It has also proven useful when used in accordance with the Planmeca Ultra Low Dose protocol, where noise is induced by the particu- larlylowdose. Planmeca AINO also allows the reduction of exposure val- ues and consequently the radia- tion dose in all other imaging modes, according to Planmeca.
