The event offers a diverse agenda of continuing education courses and in- cludes an exhibit hall that will feature the latest in new products from more than 450 exhibitors. Attendees will have the chance to learn from some of the most highly regarded dental professionals in their respective fields. Among the speakers this year: • Kirk Behrendt — Looking to improve your practice management skills? (Source: Yankee Dental Congress) Greater New York Dental Meeting adds tech pavilions, redesigns exhibit floor By Jayme McNiff Spicciatie Greater New York Dental Meeting The Greater New York Dental Meeting of- fers a wide variety of education sessions, with a choice of more than 300 courses, including full-day and half-day semi- nars, essays, hands-on workshops and a “live” 430-seat high-tech patient demon- stration area. New for the 2013 meeting is the Tech- nology Pavilion. Attendees will be able to gain a comprehensive overview of lasers, CAD/CAM and cone-beam technologies, including discussions with specialists from the exhibiting companies and ex- perienced users. Attendees will be able to instantly compare all the products in one location while attending educational courses in the morning and afternoon. The GNYDM and Aegis Publishing, In- side Dental Technology, have created a partnership to focus on laboratory tech- nology. A significantly expanded international program accommodates 6,656 interna- tional visitors from 127 countries and of- fers programs in French as well as Span- ish, Portuguese, Italian and Russian. New York City offers a wide variety of iconic attractions, historic buildings and cultural sites. With three major interna- tional airports, Newark Liberty (EWR), Kennedy (JFK) and La Guardia (LGA), and discounted hotel rates for meeting at- tendees, organizers say it should be easy for anybody to attend. The GNYDM is one of the largest dental congress and health care meeting in the United States, registering 53,789 attend- ees from all 50 states and 127 countries in 2011.
