PROTAPER NEXT is the same variable taper de- sign found in the orig- inal ProTaper that cli- nicians have turned to for more than a decade, but refined to improve per- formance. PROTAPER NEXT fea- tures: patented M-Wire® NiTi alloy for increased flexibility and resistance to cyclic fatigue; rectangu- lar cross-section for great- er strength; and a unique asymmetric rotary (AR) motion. PROTAPER NEXT uses the same trusted rotary action as the original ProTaper. What’s different is how the file moves down the canal. The off-center rectan- gular cross-section of PROTAPER NEXT dif- fers from the center of mass. Only two points of the cross-section touch the canal wall at a time, reducing the torsional stress on the file. The result is a fully ta- pered and predictable shape achieved with greater procedural effi- ciency. The single-use and pre-sterilized PROTAPER NEXT files also feature shorter handles (11 mm) and are available in 21-, 25- and 31-mm lengths. Four sizes of color-coded and precision-matched absorbent points, gutta- percha points and obtu- rators fit all PROTAPER NEXT prepared canals.
