Hinman Dental Meeting embarks on the “Next 100 Years” in Atlan- ta March 21–23 at the Georgia World Con- gress Center. The 101st Hinman features: more than 65 dental experts; more than 220 courses (including more 60 hands-on workshops); all-day educational tracks for dentists, dental hygienists, assistants and office staff; and nearly 400 companies demonstratingthelatestindentistryprod- ucts and services in the exhibit hall. “We are expecting more than 22,000 dentists and dental professionals to join us for the 101st Hinman, where they’ll experi- ence the leading dental experts, numerous courses featuring the latest in dentistry, innovative exhibits and our signature so- cial events,” said Dr. Brad Greenway, gen- eral chairman of the 2013 Hinman Dental Meeting. During the three-day event, the Hin- man meeting will offer 60-plus hands-on participation courses, giving dental profes- sionals an opportunity to learn new pro- cedures and fine-tune their skills. Course topics cover a wide range of subjects, such as Botox and dermal fillers, the use of la- sers and creating scans with cone-beam imaging. Another highlight is Dr. Pete Dawson and Dr. John Cranham daylong presentation on Friday, March 22, on time- less principles. The “Business Office Bonanza” returns this year and offers courses throughout the day on Friday, March 22. Also returning for a fourth year is the “Prevention Con- vention,” which provides courses for the entire dental team on Thursday, March 21, and Friday, March 22. New this year is the “Clinical Team Conference,” with courses designed for dentists and staff, on Friday, March 22. In addition, Hinman will feature nearly 400 companies showcasing new technol- ogy, equipment, products and services for the entire dental staff. New this year on the exhibit floor is a vintage car show that in- cludes the personal classic cars owned by several Hinman members. Other meeting highlights include: • Thursday’s keynote session, featuring Jack Hanna of “Jack Hanna’s Animal Ad- venture” TV show. • A special prize program that includes vintage-inspired jewelry, a Hinman trea- sure quest, gas cards, Delta Air Lines tick- ets, two resort vacations and more. • The “Dental Student Networking Event & Reception,” Friday at 4 p.m., with oppor- tunities to discuss topics not learned in school. • Two Hinman signature parties – the “Dentist Reception” and “Auxiliary Recep- tion” — held on Friday night in the Omni Hotel.
