März 16 March Um Krankheiten der Mundhöh- le, wie beispielsweise Karies und Parodontitis, weitgehend zu ver- meiden, bleibt der einzige Weg, die Keimflora in der Mundhöhle zu normalisieren und die Keimmenge zu reduzieren – unter der Prämisse möglichst geringer Nebenwirkun- gen. Mit der Plasma-Medizin soll es nun möglich sein, die Keimflora zu normalisierenundParodontitis-und Karieskeime sowie andere Keime ohne Nebenwirkungen und völlig schmerzfrei zu eliminieren. Kaltes Plasma ist vereinfacht ausgedrückt Umgebungsluft (Sauer- stoff), zerlegt in ihre winzigen Be- standteile – Elektronen, Ionen, Atome –, welche freigesetzt eine hohe keimtötende Aktivität entwickeln. Hierfür ist eine neue Technik in der Zahnmedizin not- wendig, das Ozonytron. Es wandelt Luft (Sau- erstoff) in medizinisch wirksames Plasma um.
