Dies belegen auch zahlreiche Stu- dien. Hierfür bietet DMG die jetzt über- arbeiteteProduktvariante„Iconvesti- bular“ mit entsprechendem Zubehör an. Nach Angaben des Unterneh- mens wird der „Infiltrant“, ein hoch- flüssiger Kunststoff, nach einer Vor- behandlung mit einem Ätzgel auf die betroffene Stelle aufgetragen. Dort dringt er mittels Kapillarkraft tief in den porösen Zahnschmelz ein und wirdmitLichtausgehärtet.Aufgefüllt mit diesem, dem Schmelz optisch ähnlichen, Kunststoff, sollen sich die White Spots ästhetisch der gesunden Oberfläche angleichen. White Spots auf Glattflächen, z.B. nach Entbände- rung, lassen sich so erfolgreich mas- kieren. Auch dunkle Einfärbungen (Brown Spots) sollen sich ästhetisch behandeln lassen, sofern die Oberflä- che nicht kavitiert ist. Behandlungs- erfolge konnten laut DMG auch bei Schmelzveränderungen wie Fluorose oder Molaren-Inzisiven-Hypominera- lisation (MIH) erzielt werden.
