business68 IDS 2013 – 14. Based on modern concepts like Minimally Invasive Cosmetic Den- tistry, and recent advancements in ad- hesives technology, SHOFU has cre- ated a faster, easier, and gentler sealant system that is supposed to eliminatetheneedforphosphoricacid etchandrinsestepsentirely, whilestill maintaining equal or better shear bond strengths. According to the man- ufacturer, the BeautiSealant Primer contains dual adhesive monomers thatthoroughlypenetrateandprepare pits and fissures for bonding to the sealant. Unlike commonly used prod- ucts which require phosphoric acid etching, demineralising and dehydrat- ing healthy teeth, SHOFU’s self-etch- ing primer is said to be significantly less acidic, helping to preserve healthy tooth structure. SHOFU said that BeautiSealant is an easy to apply sealant optimised for smooth, bubble-free consistency. A specially designed no-ooze syringe, and a tiny 27 gauge needle allow for a precise application without overfill- ing. Moreover, the innovative Surface Pre-Reacted Glass (S-PRG) filler parti- cles verifiably enhance the remineral- isation process, thus enabling sealing of caries critical teeth.
