Ein weiterer großer Vorteil der iCare besteht darin, dass die Instrumente während der Pflege in Rotation versetzt werden. So ist laut NSK sichergestellt, dass auch die sensiblen Getriebeteile der Hand- und Winkelstücke komplett mit ei- nem dünnen Ölfilm versehen wer- den. Ein zusätzlicher Garant für hohe Lebensdauer sei zudem die neu ent- wickelte Spannzangen-Reinigungs- funktion, die es ermöglicht, zuver- lässig Schmutz und Abtrag aus der Spannzange zu entfernen. iCare verfügt über einen großen, 1,2 Liter fassenden Öltank, der ein- fach nachgefüllt werden kann. Auf- grund des Tankvolumens und des geringen Ölverbrauchs muss Öl aber nur sehr selten nachgefüllt werden, so die Firma. Damit sei ein unerwar- teter Zyklusabbruch aufgrund feh- lenden Öls fast ausgeschlossen. Das 28 cm x 24 cm äußerst kom- pakte Gerät lässt sich problemlos in jeder Umgebung integrieren. Auf- grund der geringen Höhe von nur 35 cm findet es ohne Einschränkun- gen unter handelsüblichen Hänge- schränken Platz. Für die Installation und den Betrieb des iCare sind NSK zufolge lediglich ein Strom- und ein Druckluftanschluss erforderlich. iCare ist entweder mit je zwei Winkelstück- und Turbinenadaptern oder mit drei Winkelstückadaptern und einem Turbinenadapter erhält- lich. Three out of four US dental practitioners surveyed said AirFloss is easier to use than a leading oral irrigator, according to Philips. ThenewAirFlosshasanauto-burst function which provides a continuous stream of automatic bursts to clean between the teeth in less than 30 sec- onds.
