Dent) RCPS, PhD (Sheffield), FHEA (UK) Dr. Samira Al-Salehi is Direc- tor of the Endodontic and AEGD programs at European Univer- sity College (EUC), Dubai. She is also a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry (Dubai Health Author- ity) since 1 May 2011. Endodon- tics at EUC is a three year higher specialty training program. The AEGD program provides ad- vanced general dentistry train- ing to improve the skill base of dentists who wish to work in pri- mary care and/or specialize in one of the three year specialty programs offered at NAU. Dr. Samira graduated from Manchester University, UK and practiced general dentistry for a number of years before becom- ing a Lecturer/Specialist Regis- trar in Restorative Dentistry at Sheffield University. In January 2007, Dr. Samira was awarded CCST (UK) in Restorative Den- tistry. She is on the UK specialist listsinProsthodontics,Endodon- tics, Periodontics and Restora- tive Dentistry. Dr. Samira is a member of the British Endodon- tic Society, British Society of Restorative Dentistry and a Fel- low of the Royal College of Physi- cians & Surgeons of Glasgow. Dr. Samira is an expert in the fieldofDentalBleachingandwas awarded the degree of PhD from Sheffield University in Septem- ber 2007. She has a number of publications in top ranked refer- eed journals. She also has a vast teaching experience gained fromworkingatthreeleadingUK dental schools; Sheffield, The London and Manchester. In recognitionofherteachingexpe- rience she was awarded FHEA (Fellow of the Higher Education Academy,UK)in2008.FromSep- tember 2008 until 30 April 2011 Dr. Samira worked as Associate Professor and Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at Man- chester University Dental School, UK. Her main role was delivery of Endodontics to the three year MRD postgraduate students and as well as providing an Endodontic service for re- ferredpatientsfromgeneralden- tal practitioners. This course is designed for general dentist and those who wishtospecializeinEndodontics as there is a focus on treatment planning of complex restorative cases and in depth coverage of many aspects of Endodontics. Thetwodaycoursecoversthe importance of accurate en- dodontic diagnosis and treat- mentplanningofendodonticand complex restorative cases.
