The competitive application process and evaluation is spon- sored by the prime minister’s office and managed by the Ministry of Industry & Trade, the National Institute of Standards and the Israeli Society for Quality. The Israeli National Quality and Ex- cellence Award is based on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award estab- lished by the U.S. Congress and awarded annually by the president of the Unites States.
